The children of Bercy elementary school, in Paris, took part to the manufacture of a tree shaped sculpture made of plastic bottles, paper mache and resin. Animation sessions were conducted on Wednesday afternoons and during school holidays at the elementary school recreation center.
An intercultural project was set up by Dessine l’Espoir and the school’s educational teams in order to connect the different gardens of Transgardens. The tree will be the symbol of this link
Children from France and from the african countries will be involved in creative workshops to design, decorate or paint leaves to put on these trees.
In the pictures bellow, we can see the children from Bercy school covering a branch with paper mache before application of the resin and the paint.
