At Malanti’s Garden of Skills, the women have just harvested the cabbages planted during the southern winter, which are now perfectly ripe.
This harvest marks the culmination of several months of careful work, from the nursery to the care given to the growing beds. The cabbages are then transported to Piggs Peak Hospital, where they will be included in food parcels distributed to HIV-positive patients benefiting from this programme, which is reserved for the most vulnerable people to strengthen their immune systems.
For the women in the garden, it is a real source of pride: seeing the fruits of their labour contribute directly to the well-being of vulnerable patients reinforces the meaning and solidarity of their commitment.
A beautiful chain of solidarity, made possible thanks to the support of The Ivory Foundation and the mobilisation of Designing Hope.
