After harvesting and preparing the vegetables, we gave them to the kindergarten children at Bercy school to taste, under the garden’s pergola, which was still covered with our climbing beans…
They thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with some children preferring the tomato tartlets, the leek friands or the butternut and beetroot chips on the menu!
We then went on to play an educational game that we have designed for the children :“The Vegetable Life Game”. The idea is to reconstruct the different stages in the growth of 9 fruits and vegetables, from seed to plate.
A very useful teaching aid to improve children’s understanding of what grows in the garden and what they eat every day.
