Pepper Harvest at St. Paul’s School, Lesotho.

At St. Paul’s School for the Deaf, harvest season is in full swing at the educational farm established in 2015 by The Ivory Foundation. This year, the pepper crops, grown in greenhouses, are particularly bountiful, reflecting the care and dedication of the young students involved.

Over the months, the students have gained solid knowledge of vegetable farming under the guidance of the farm’s educational supervisor, Tsephane.
The success of this pepper harvest illustrates the skills they have developed in the field: soil preparation, crop monitoring, irrigation management…

The students are preparing to take the next step by soon joining the Levi’s Nek farm. There, they will continue their journey with greater autonomy and responsibility, making way for new deaf and hard-of-hearing students at the school farm.
