The Traversine Villiot garden tipi comes back to life

At the Traversine garden, the vegetal tipi is coming back to life thanks to the children from the Villiot residence, as part of an activity organised by Designing Hope and Claje Paris’Anim.

The session included weeding around the bamboo tipi, loosening the soil and preparing planting holes enriched with soil and compost. The children then planted squash, zucchinis, cucumbers and pumpkins that will gradually climb along the bamboo structure.

This installation is inspired by the principle of layered cultivation, a method that helps maximise harvests in a small gardening area while creating a lively and playful green space.

Over the coming weeks, the tipi should gradually turn into a lush edible cabin, following the growth of the plants cared for by the children.
