Potato harvest at Levi’s Nek, Lesotho

Young deaf and hard-of-hearing farmers from Levi’s Nek have harvested part of their potato field. These vegetables will be added to the tomatoes, peppers and spinach harvested to fill the parcels of fresh vegetables distributed to the most vulnerable HIV-positive patients at the medical centre near the farm.
These vegetables are purchased by The Ivory Foundation for distribution to the patients selected by the medical team. These fresh, organically grown vegetables will help to boost the immune defences of these patients, as well as providing an income for the young people on the farm.
