Insect hotel maintenance with CLAJE children

Today, the CLAJE children took part in an insect hotel activity. After learning which insects use these shelters to spend the winter, such as ladybugs and solitary bees, they had the opportunity to fill the insect hotel already present in the Villiot garden.
They added materials such as wooden planks for pot wasps, bamboo stalks for hoverflies and pine cones for earwigs, to the various sections to provide hiding places for the insects.
Finally, the children colored drawings of the hotel’s insects in line with what they had just learned.
