Mastering metalwork, an asset for running the farm

The main principle of the Levi’s Nek farm is to give the deaf and hard-of-hearing youths who run it the opportunity to be independent, to acquire as many skills as possible so that they are able to meet all their day-to-day needs in terms of equipment, construction, maintenance and repairs. The installation of a fully-equipped workshop, with a welding station, workbench, drill press and basic tools, will make it possible to produce the parts needed to repair infrastructure and consolidate installations, indoors or in the garden. The workshop began with the design of a bed for the young people’s dormitory.
