Young deaf and hard-of-hearing people at Levi’s Nek farm have been able to harvest a large crop of tomatoes and peppers grown in their greenhouse.
As part of the long-term partnership between the Farming our Future farm and the Levi’s Nek medical centre in Lesotho, these vegetables were purchased by The Ivory Foundation for distribution to the most vulnerable HIV-positive patients selected by the medical team. These fresh, organically grown vegetables will help to boost the immune defences of these patients, as well as providing an income for the young farmers.
