Preparing the nurseries

The women at the Garden of Skills have prepared a sieved mixture of soil, compost, manure and biochar to enrich the seedling trays in their nursery and prepare new seedlings for spring. Seedlings are sown in plastic trays and cups, and for fast-growing seedlings in larger trays made up of interlocking sheets forming 10×10 or 5×5 cm squares to suit requirements.
