Paint on vegetal stamps by the Bercy nursery school’s students

The Bercy nursery school students took part in an unusual painting activity.

After drawing branches on paper sheets, they got to decorate them with multicolored fruits, by using lemons, bell peppers, zucchinis, onions, celery and artichoke leaves as stamps to apply paint on paper.

The head of the zucchini imitates the shape of a small star ; as for the onion, it reproduces concentric circles that create the most pleasant effect on paper… Thanks to this activity, the children learned how to recognize the different fruits and vegetables that they used, and they understood that the products that nature gives us can look as beautiful as they taste good !

Warning ! We mainly used the ends of the vegetables : the tail and head of the zucchini, the end of the pepper… So as not to spoil them entirely, and to be able to use the rest for cooking.
