Making bags for Cemag Care

The women in the sewing workshop were commissioned by Cemag-Care to make Tote bags bearing the message ‘My period, my period’, a message from this innovative laboratory committed to helping women with difficult and heavy periods and contraception. The collaboration with the Garden of Skills workshop, which works daily for the empowerment of women, was an obvious choice. After creating the prototype in collaboration with Designing Hope and the Cemag Care teams, it was sewn on the industrial machines that the workshop is equipped with. The laboratory’s slogan and logo were embroidered using the professional embroidery machine acquired last year to embroider the badges for the school uniforms made by the women for the local market. The professionalism acquired by the women over the years means that they are now able to respond to professional requests with fast, high-quality work.
