Enlarging the growing beds in the Garden of Skills in Malanti, Eswatini

The vegetable garden team set about enlarging the beds to increase their yield. The large grassy areas on either side of the rows of beds have been reduced, providing a 40% gain in cultivable area.

These beds, located close to the center of life and equipped with an automatic watering system, are particularly appreciated by the women.

Their accessibility and productivity make them a key asset in the garden.

These improvements aim to boost the productivity of the vegetable garden, with harvests used to run the center’s kitchen and donate vegetables to the hospital for weaker patients.
