Following a severe storm and heavy rainfall, the stakes supporting the Roosboom greenhouse, despite being set in cement, were blown over by the wind.
As part of the regional interconnection of projects supported by The Ivory Foundation and Dessine l’Espoir, the team from Levi’s Nek farm in Lesotho travelled to South Africa to intervene and repair the structure. These were the same teams that had built the greenhouse a year ago.
In order to anticipate further climatic challenges, reinforcement ropes held in place by metal stakes were installed on each side of the greenhouse, before the main stakes were once again sealed in cement.
This is a fine example of cooperation and shared expertise working together to ensure the resilience of local projects.
