The young deaf and hard-of-hearing residents of Levi’s Nek Farm recently launched a spinach production near the farmhouse.
This olcal cultivation allows them to harvest several times a week and regularly enrich their meals.
Spinach is an essential ingredient in local cuisine: combined with onions and peppers, it is used to make the traditional green sauce, which is particularly popular in Lesotho as an accompaniment to pap, the cornmeal porridge eaten every day.
