St Paul’s greenhouse was built in early 2021 with financial support from @the-ivory-foundation.
It is covered with a semi-blackout veil allowing 60% of the sun’s rays to pass through, which limits both the evaporation of water during hot weather, and also the damage caused during heavy summer rains. As the net spreads the water more gently over the plantations, the yields of these covered areas are higher than those of the uncovered cultivated plots.
