Small colourful windmills in the Traversine Bercy garden

This week, primary school pupils in Bercy made small paper windmills to brighten up the Traversine garden.

Each child began by decorating a square of paper, painted on both sides with bright colours. Once the creations were finished, the sheets were laminated to withstand wind and rain.
The pupils then folded the four corners towards the centre and secured them with a paper clip, giving shape to these traditional windmills, which are both simple and poetic.

Mounted on a thin bamboo stick, the windmills were planted in the planters, bringing movement and colour to the garden with every breath of wind.
