Preparation of planting beds on the new Halfway House site

After preparing the growing beds inside the greenhouse, the Roosboom team started working on the new plot of land recently made available to Halfway House by Roosboom Town Council. The humid summer is the ideal time to prepare the soil, which is softer and easier to work than during the dry winter. 80cm-long cultivation strips are also used for these beds, the ideal size for maintaining the beds, with easy access to the entire cultivated area. The vegetable garden extension is part of the vegetable production project for the Buhlebezwe school adjacent to Halfway House, a project funded by the Bel Foundation and The Ivory Foundation.
