Playful discovery of insects with the children of the elementary school of Bercy, Paris

The children of the elementary school of Bercy in Paris were able to discover the various insects in the garden through colouring boards realised by the association.

The insects were classified according to their role in a garden, namely pollinators, predators and decomposers.

Pollinating insects, such as bees, bumblebees and butterflies, play a direct role in the reproduction of plants.

Predatory insects rid the garden of pests like earwigs, bugs and wasps.

Finally, decomposers such as the dung beetle, woodlouse and earthworm break down organic matter and recycle it into rich, nourishing material that is essential for the vegetable garden.
