Following a reorganisation of the roof terrace at Handiscole’s inclusive Petits Princes school in Rufisque, Senegal, new pots have been installed in the vegetable garden.
The 10-litre water containers, which are very popular in Senegal, are among the recycled containers used to hold the vegetable plants, and their great depth is particularly well suited to tomato and aubergine plants, which grow
quickly in them.
These containers are filled with topsoil with the help of the school children, under the supervision of Joseph, who has been in charge of the vegetable garden since its creation in 2022 by Designing Hope, with the support of Marie Munoz.
