New growing beds at Roosboom’s Halfway House

New growing beds are coming to life at Halfway House in Roosboom, deployed in the greenhouse and outdoors to enrich the garden.

Four local women now contribute on a daily basis, working in pairs five days a week to ensure that the plots thrive. The children at the Halfway house help water the areas not yet equipped with an automatic system.

This collective commitment encourages intergenerational exchanges, promotes learning about local agroecology and strengthens community ties.
