Making metal shelves for Levi’s Nek farm

Using off-cuts from the boards used for the beds, large shelves were designed to fit out the workshop and the storage room for seeds and feed for the farm animals.
The aim was also, as part of the metal training offered to the youths, to teach them to optimise resources.
For some of the shelving, scrap metal was butt-welded to ensure that not a single centimetre of raw material was wasted, while ensuring that the finished object was robust.
