In-class intervention on selective sorting, Bercy, France

Did you know that it takes 27 plastic bottles to make one recycled sweater? It’s worth sorting your waste to recycle it, right?

The activity leaders of the Traversine garden have prepared an activity on selective sorting for the kindergarten Blue class! It’s an opportunity to make the children aware of several thematics such as waste sorting and recycling.

After explaining the color system which is assigned to the different garbage cans in Paris, the children took turns sorting each piece of waste according to its nature. An orange peel in the food waste garbage can, a jar of tomato sauce in the glass garbage can or a cardboard package in the recycling garbage can… All the waste reached its destination, in the good care of the Blue class kids!
