Delivery of equipment for the Sinthiou Toumany market garden, Senegal

In February 2025, the Ivory Foundation delivered 11 rolls of wire mesh, 190 angle-iron stakes, 1,500 ml of Galvanized wire, 16 bags of cement and 4 steel gates to equip the 4 villages selected around Dawady to set up a women’s vegetable garden. A kit of seeds selected by the organic seed company Agrosemens was also distributed to the village women.
During these deliveries, we met with women’s groups and village chiefs, in the presence of Malik, Abdourahmane and Aly. The latter, who is highly respected by the population, insisted on the need for men to be actively involved in setting up the market gardens.
