Decorating terracotta pots

posted in: Villiot Garden - Paris

In Villiot garden, children from Bercy school and CLAJE had the opportunity to decorate terracotta pots. Using brushes and brightly-colored paints, their creativity was given free rein.

Some chose to decorate their pots with floral motifs, while others preferred abstract designs or chose to use leaves to imprint natural shapes on the surface of the pots.

Once the creations were complete, the pots were left to dry for several hours before being varnished.

The following week, the little artists were able to plant mint in each of their pots and take them home to watch them grow.
