In botany, the herbarium is a collection of plants dried and pressed between two sheets of paper which has been used, since the dawn of time, for scientific studies and for the exploration of the plant world.
The decoration of frames for a herbarium, the observation of the shapes of leaves, or the collection of a specific category of plants like aromatic plants for instance, can be the theme of a creative activity.

As an activity this week in Roosboom the children made a herbarium by drying leaves of different plants and then decorated homemade frames (cardboard and transparent sheet) with paint.
