The green wall of the Grand Potager of Fontenille

At the Grand Potager of Fontenille, the volunteers on civic service have laid out part of the covered pergola to create a welcoming space to house creative workshops during discovery visits in the garden. An experimental green wall has been created on the back wall to embellish this space and to present the principle of promoting biodiversity in a small and restrictive space.

Thus, high containers were fixed on the wall and plants of different sizes, varieties and colours were installed. The species were chosen for their acclimatisation to a shady environment, to embellish the area and at the same time place it in the context of the vegetable garden: an attractive place rich in biodiversity.
