While waiting for the compost to be ready, the women made a fertile mixture of soil, plant debris and manure to line the metal containers of the above-ground structure during the second training session.
This technique can be used by women with a small garden area. During the day, the women also learned to recognise the different crops in the garden and their role in food and nutrition and were given theoretical explanations on agroecological practices and their importance for the ecosystem and human health.
