At the Traversine Villiot garden, 12 children from the Paris Anim’ Annie Fratellini center gathered to work on the petals of the vegetable mandala.
The children worked enthusiastically together, under the guidance of the Designing Hope educational team. They began by mixing topsoil and compost to create a fertile mix. This rich substrate was then added to the existing soil, which had been spaded deeply to loosen it. This meticulous preparation was essential to ensure that future plantings would thrive.
Once the plots were ready, the children got their hands in the soil to plant leeks, tomatoes and celery.
Everyone was able to take part in every stage, from tilling the soil to planting.
