Maintaining the garden at Roosboom’s Halfway House with the children

Every week, the children hosted by Designing Hope at Roosboom’s Halfway House help to maintain the vegetable garden.
Sowing, transplanting, watering, weeding and, of course, harvesting are all on the agenda.
The 50 to 60 mother – and father – orphaned children welcomed each day by the Halfway House then receive a meal, with vegetables from the garden, before returning to their extended families.
