Installation of the insect hôtel of the Traversine Villiot

The team of Designing Hope finalized the insect hotel at Traversine Villiot’s garden with the youngsters of the association Jeunesse Feu-Vert.

First of all, a wire mesh was stapled to the back of the structure to prevent the various components from falling out during filling.  Then the hotel was placed on a metal base in the ground to protect it from moisture and prevent the wood from rotting. Logs and branches were cut to the same length to fit into the insect hotel’s compartments, which were then drilled to accommodate carpenter

bees or potter wasps that will use these holes to lay their eggs.
