The AND DIMBALANTE women’s market gardening network in Popenguine, supported by the Nebeday association, brings together 67 women, each responsible for an individual garden comprising several growing beds, covering a total of 3 hectares.
Since 2024, The Ivory Foundation has integrated this group into its seed and plant production program by installing a 200 m² greenhouse on the farm. To ensure efficient management of the greenhouse, eight groups of eight women, representing the 67 members, have been formed. Each group is allocated a dedicated space in the greenhouse for the production of seedlings for their individual vegetable gardens.
This organization aims to reduce crowding in the greenhouse and improve coordination with Ismaïla, the market garden perimeter coordinator. Each group is responsible for the daily watering of its nursery.
Seeds production project launched with the support of The Ivory foundation, Agrosemens and the Fondation Marie-Pierre Crosnier Mangeat.
