As part of its work for isolated villages on the outskirts of the Dawady health centre, this year the Ivory Foundation is funding the creation of four new community gardens.
The selected villages are those already benefiting from access to water, provided by partner NGO Eau Claire. In Gourel Diamouyel, the scheme includes the installation of a wire fence, a gate and cement basins to create local water reserves for irrigation, fed by the borehole pump.
Once the fence is in place, the hard work of preparing the land in arid soil… in 45 degree heat…
