Boulel is one of five villages surrounding the Dawady community garden, which was set up with the active support of local coordinators
Malik and Abdourahmane, and the backing of The Ivory Foundation and the Marie-Pierre Crosnier Mangeat Foundation. The first step before the rainy season was to install fences, prepare the growing beds and set up nurseries.
Today, the group is delighted to enjoy the first harvests: Black
Beauty aubergines, heirloom tomatoes, okra and chillies, grown from Agrosemens organic seeds, have yielded promising results…The women will collect part of the vegetable production to extract seeds for next season.
