Distribution of fresh vegetables to the Levi’s Nek health centre, Lesotho

As part of the long-term partnership between the Farming our Future farm and the Levi’s Nek health centre in Lesotho, the farm’s deaf and hard-of-hearing young people contribute to the well-being of HIV-positive patients from many neighbouring villages who are treated at this regional branch.

Part of the farm’s harvest is purchased by The Ivory Foundation for distribution to the most vulnerable patients selected by the medical team.
This package of fresh, organically grown vegetables helps to boost the patient’s immune defences.

The young people also have the satisfaction of serving the community in this way, helping them to integrate into the community and overcome their disabilities.
