Maintenance of the Kambéne Kako shared vegetable garden, Dawady – Senegal
At the Kambéne Kako shared garden, adjacent to the Dawady health centre, the women of the group are continuing their seasonal farming activities. They recently harvested okra, a vegetable that is very popular in local cuisine, and transplanted new sweet potato cuttings to ensure continued production. These new plants will benefit from the arrival of the upcoming rainy season. They also harvested peanuts, along with sorghum and cowpeas.
