Installation of a water tower in Dawady, Senegal

In order to make better use of the solar pump installed on the Dawady plot, The Ivory Foundation financed the construction of a water tower.

Until now, the pumped water fed concrete surface basins located in several places in the vegetable garden, which women used to fill their watering cans.

Now, the water is stored at height in a 5 m³ tank, which can supply both these nearby basins and the greenhouse via a watering hose.

This has doubled the water storage capacity and means that water is now available at all times, even when there is no sun, and across the entire cultivated area.
