In the garden at La Traversine Bercy, nursery school children took part in a game of vegetable memory, with cards showing vegetables in their ‘open’ and ‘closed’ states laid out on a large table in the garden.
This game is part of an educational kit created by the Designing Hope association, aimed at helping young children to recognise vegetables visually while having fun. With great enthusiasm, the children turned over the cards two by two, looking for pairs corresponding to vegetables in their ‘open’ (cut) or ‘closed’ (whole) versions. The game continued with the recognition of fruit and vegetable names for those who are beginning to decipher letters… The game includes 25 ‘name’ cards, with the word in French on one side and English on the other, allowing children to associate each vegetable with its label and enrich their vocabulary.
A fun and educational activity, perfect for learning while playing in the garden!
