Malik and Abdourahmane, in charge of the Dawady garden, oversee both the greenhouse dedicated to seed production and a vast market garden plot intended to supply fresh vegetables to pregnant women at the
nearby health center.
In this particularly hot, dry season, when temperatures regularly exceed 45°C, they are busy watering the beds
twice a day. They are now supported by two young people from the village, who have recently joined the team.
